A fault in the brakes

If these bicycles are recalled, it is because of the brakes of the same RADIUS brand which are defective: “RADIUS brand brakes showing premature wear of a seal at the piston”, notes the product recall sheet published on RappelConso.

The site indicates a risk of external injuries when using these bikes. Indeed, electrically assisted bicycles allow their users to move at a speed that can go up to 25 km/h, it is therefore necessary to have good brakes.

Nakamura bikes recalled for same issue

brand bikes Nakamura sold in all stores Intersport France and Belgium had also been affected by a recall dated April 22, in view of the same problem of defective brakes, brand RADIUS.

The references of the electric bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes and junior bikes concerned are indicated in this sheet published on the rappel.conso.gouv website.

All lots of products with the barcode 3354068619573 are included in the recall, with a start-of-market date of February 1, 2021 and an end-of-market date of March 14, 2022.
